LIBRARY LOFTS, EXETER
Project began: July 2014
Project completed: October 2015
Contract value: £2.1 million
The Old Library is a listed building in a prime location in Exeter. We carried out the full internal renovation of the building, transforming it from a basic structure into a luxury 61-bed student complex.
We redesigned 44 apartments from scratch into both one bed flats and two bed flats with mezzanine floors, completing all of the internal fittings and fixtures. This included the bathrooms, kitchens and appliances and all bedroom furniture. We also provided a full M&E file (mechanical and electrical file) which contained all certificates and contractor information which is required for health and safety purposes.
"The best way to describe the guys at URBN is, proactive, positive and thorough. They are dedicated to providing a high level of service and are very customer orientated.
One thing we noticed is how good they are at communicating with the client, they explained each process of the job clearly and kept us in the know at all times. If there were ever any issue they dealt with them quickly and efficiently – they really knew the job.
I would never have any problems recommending them to other companies, they are a great team to work with."
