THE SHIP

Project began: September 2016
Estimated completion date: February 2017
Contract value: £3.0 million

The iconic Ship building in Plymouth has laid dormant for 6 years but this huge development will once again see the building occupied and become a thriving part of the Plymouth community, providing 800 new jobs to the city. Once completed, the building will house a large call center, a 20 office ‘Thrive’ business hub, café, nursery and crèche. On top of this, there will also be an urban activity park, Adrenalin and Clip & Climb, the rock climbing park.

We are the main contractor for the project. From the beginning we have planned the project, appointed all specialist sub-contractors, managed all parties and ensure that the project meets timescales and budget.

“The guys at URBN are very professional, they listened to our requirements, made great suggestions and have kept us informed throughout the entire project – we couldn’t have asked for more.

We would definitely recommend URBN because they take the time to understand the customer requirements, remain responsive throughout the project and deliver exactly what they say they will do.”
